During her year-long Adobe Creative Residency photographer Julia Nimke traveled across Europe in her Sprinter van exploring places that are tight to folk tales - from far up north in the Lofoten Islands down till Italy. She got in touch with local people who would read tales to her, and captured the landscapes that are connected to the tales. With that Julia created an intimate portrait of the origin of storytelling - capturing some of the last remote places of Europe. The tales here are presented from North to South.
